Although he is the richest Grey’s Anatomy star, with a net worth of $85 million, Patrick Dempsey has made a significant amount of his wealth from other projects. Dempsey was one of the original cast members of the medical drama. Playing Dr Derek ‘McDreamy’ Shepherd from series one to series 11, when he was killed in a road traffic collision. One of the richest Grey’s Anatomy stars from the original ensemble cast but no longer appears in the series is Katherine Heigl, who has a net worth of $30 million. In addition to appearing in the medical drama series, Heigl has played multiple film roles. Another of the richest actors from Grey’s Anatomy is Sandra Oh, who played Dr Cristina Yang in the series from season one to season ten. She is also known for her role as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve. Oh also has an extensive career in films, with both on-screen and voice roles, all of which have contributed to her net worth of $25 million. Jessica Capshaw played Dr Arizona Robbins in Grey’s Anatomy. She first appeared as a recurring character in season five of the series, then became a regular in season six before leaving in season 14. For a significant part of her time on the series, her character was in a relationship with Dr Callie Torres, played by Sarah Ramirez. She is also known for her roles as Jamie Stringer in The Practice and Aunt Jordan in Odd Man Out. Furthermore, Capshaw has had roles in multiple films, such as Dear Zoe, The Groomsmen, and The Hero of Color City. Kate Walsh has played Dr Addison Montgomery since the beginning of Grey’s Anatomy. However, she has not consistently been one of the main characters in the series. In season one, she was a guest before becoming a main cast member in seasons two and three. She was then a guest in seasons four to eight, returning as a regular cast member in season 18 and as a guest in season 19. Walsh also played the role of Dr Addison Montgomery in the spin-off series Private Practice. Other films for which Walsh is known are 13 Reasons Why, Bad Judge, The Handler, and Emily in Paris. One of the original ensemble cast, Justin Chambers was part of Grey’s Anatomy from season one to season 16, playing the role of Dr Alex Karev. The series is the main reason Chambers’s net worth is now $18 million. Since leaving the drama series, Chambers has played Marlon Brando in the television miniseries The Offer. Chambers is married to a former model agency broker, with whom he has a son and four daughters.

Kevin McKidd landed the role of Dr Owen Hunt in 2008, first appearing in season five of the series. He remains one of the main cast members. It is not the first time that McKidd has starred alongside Patrick Dempsey, as they were both in the 2008 romantic comedy Made of Honor. Other films in which Kevin McKidd has starred include Kingdom of Heaven, Hannibal Rising, Trainspotting, and Brave. James Pickens Jr. is one of only three cast members to appear in every season of Grey’s Anatomy since it first aired in 2005. He plays the role of Dr Richard Webber. Pickens is also known for his roles on The X Files, Roseanne, and The Conners. Before landing the role of Dr Webber, Pickens appeared in multiple films, including Sleepers, Ghosts of Mississippi, RocketMan, Traffic, Red Dragon, and Venom.

One of three actors who has been in the series since the beginning, Chandra Wilson plays Dr Miranda Bailey. Her time in Grey’s Anatomy is the biggest contributing factor to Chandra Wilson’s net worth of $10 million. Eric Dane began his acting career in 1991 and appeared in multiple television series during the 1990s and 2000s. He first appeared as Dr Mark Sloane in Grey’s Anatomy in 2008 as a recurring character, then became one of the main cast from seasons three to nine. Sara Ramirez plays Dr Callie Torres. She was a recurring character in season two, then became a main character from season three to season 12. In season six, Kim Raver joined the cast as Dr Teddy Altman. After two seasons, she left the series but returned as a recurring cast member in season 14. The following season, she became part of the main cast for the second time. Raver is also known for playing Kim Zambrano in Third Watch, Audrey Raines in 24, and Madeline Faulkner in Full Circle. Dr Amelia Shepherd is played by Caterina Scorsone. The character is the sister of fellow surgeon Dr Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey. Scorsone joined the cast as a guest in seasons seven and eight, then reappeared as a recurring character in season ten. She became part of the main cast in season 11 and is still one of the main characters of the series. Scorsone is also known for her roles in films such as Edge of Darkness and The November Man.

Dr George O’Malley was one of the original cast members, and T.R. Knight played him. The character remained in the series until the end of season five when he was hit by a bus and killed. Sarah Drew plays Dr April Kepner. She joined the cast as a recurring character in season six, then was a main character from season seven to season 14. Drew left the series for two seasons, then returned as a guest character for seasons 17 and 18. The actress is also known for playing Cindy Turner in Cruel Summer and Sarah Brown in the series Amber Brown.

British actress Camilla Luddington joined Grey’s Anatomy as Dr Jo Wilson in season nine as a recurring character, then became one of the main characters the following season. While playing the role, Luddington appeared in the films The Pact 2 and The Healer. Luddington is married to actor Matthew Alan, and they have a son and daughter together.
